- Account information: your email address, display name, and authentication identifiers created when you sign up (including through Google sign-in, if used).
- Study activity: questions attempted, answers selected, accuracy, time spent, streaks, exam configurations, and diagnostic results.
- Subscription data: subscription status, trial start and end dates, billing period, and the billing email associated with your checkout.
- Feedback you submit: ratings and messages you voluntarily send us.
- Technical data: browser type, device type, approximate region, pages viewed, and basic usage events used to keep the Service reliable and improve it.
- Local browser storage: guest practice progress and preview limits stored on your device.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We never collect or store your full credit card number, CVC, or bank credentials. All payment details are entered directly with our payment processor. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and secure your account and authenticate your sessions.
- To deliver practice questions, avoid repeating questions you have already seen, and personalize your diagnostic insights.
- To process subscriptions, trials, renewals, and cancellations.
- To send transactional and account emails (welcome, password reset, billing notices) and, where permitted, occasional product updates.
- To monitor performance, prevent abuse or fraud, and improve question quality.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where required by law (for example, under the GDPR), we process personal data on the bases of contract performance (providing the Service you signed up for), legitimate interests (security, product improvement), consent (optional marketing emails), and legal compliance.
5. Service Providers We Share Data With
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with vendors that help us operate the Service, under agreements that restrict their use of it:
- Payment processing: Stripe, which handles checkout, subscription billing, and stores your payment method.
- Backend, database, and authentication hosting: our cloud infrastructure provider, which stores your account, practice history, and subscription records.
- Email delivery: our transactional email provider, which sends account and lifecycle emails on our behalf.
- Product analytics: aggregated usage and conversion events used to understand how the Service is used.
We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Elite Prep or our users. If Elite Prep is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred, and we will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal data.
6. Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, track guest preview limits, and measure aggregate product usage. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but parts of the Service (including sign-in and progress tracking) may stop working correctly.
7. Data Retention
We keep your account and study data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your profile, practice history, and feedback within 30 days, except records we must retain for legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes (such as billing records held by our payment processor).
8. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level database access controls, hashed credentials, and restricted administrative access to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can update your details or permanently delete your account at any time from your account settings, or email us using the contact details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA) may request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and request deletion. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
10. Marketing Emails
You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time using the link in each message. We will still send required transactional emails about your account, security, and billing.
11. International Users
Elite Prep is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
12. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians may contact us to request removal.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, by emailing registered account holders. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
